StudioWavePro’s 10-band Equalizer uses the classic graphic-EQ frequency centers — 31, 62, 125, 250, 500 Hz and 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 kHz — the same layout you’ll find on hi-fi receivers and DJ mixers. Each band moves ±12 dB in half-dB steps. The lowest band is a shelf that controls everything below 31 Hz upward, the highest shelves everything above 16 kHz downward, and the eight in between are peaking filters tuned wide enough to blend smoothly into each other.

Six presets give you a fast starting point: Bass, Treble, Vocal, V-shape (the "loudness" smile curve), Podcast, and Flat to reset. Press play once, then drag any slider — the EQ updates live while the track plays, which makes finding a problem frequency dramatically faster than render-and-listen guessing. When it sounds right, apply and download.

When to use

Rebalance a song that sounds too dull, too harsh, or too boomy.
Clean up spoken-word audio: cut low rumble, lift presence around 2–4 kHz (the Podcast preset does this).
Recreate the V-shape "loudness" curve for casual listening on small speakers.
Tame a specific problem frequency — boxiness at 250–500 Hz, sibilance at 8 kHz.
Brighten an old or muffled recording by lifting 4–8 kHz.
Cut sub-bass (31–62 Hz) that wastes headroom on speakers that can’t reproduce it.

How to use

Click "Open EQ (10-band)" below to launch the editor.
Drop in any audio file — MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A and FLAC are all supported.
Optionally start from a preset: Bass, Vocal, V-shape, Treble, or Podcast.
Press "Play preview" and drag the band sliders while listening. Boost or cut up to 12 dB per band; the change is audible immediately.
Use "Reset all bands" to go back to flat at any point.
Click "Apply EQ", then download the result as WAV or MP3.

Tips

Cutting is usually cleaner than boosting. If a track sounds muddy, try cutting 250 Hz before boosting everything else.
Boosting several bands raises the overall level and can clip. If the output sounds strained, pull all bands down a little or run Normalize afterwards.
The classic "smile" (V-shape preset) flatters music on small speakers but tires the ears at volume — use a subtler version of it for long listening.
For voice: gentle cut at 31–125 Hz (rumble), small boost at 2–4 kHz (clarity), tiny lift at 8 kHz (air). That’s essentially the Podcast preset.
Need just one tonal move? Bass Boost and Treble Boost are single-slider shortcuts; the 3-band EQ covers low/mid/high with three knobs.

What is the difference between the 3-band and 10-band EQ?: The 3-band EQ has Low/Mid/High controls — quick and hard to misuse. The 10-band gives you ten specific frequency centers for surgical work. If you just want "less bass, more treble," the 3-band is faster; for fixing a particular resonance or shaping a mix, use this one.
Will equalizing reduce audio quality?: The filters run at full floating-point precision — the same math desktop DAWs use. The only quality risk is boosting so much that the output clips; if that happens, lower the gains slightly or normalize afterwards. Export as WAV for a lossless file.
