Cut off low frequencies (remove rumble)
A high pass filter is the most-used cleanup move in all of audio: it lets the highs through and turns down everything below the cutoff, which is where the junk lives — traffic rumble, air-conditioning, wind, mic handling thumps, and the general low-end mud that makes recordings sound amateur. StudioWavePro’s version has a cutoff from 20 Hz to 5 kHz (default 200 Hz) and a Resonance/Q control (0.1–10) for shaping the knee.
The built-in guidance matches studio practice: around 100 Hz removes rumble most voices never use; 200–300 Hz cleans up a muddy mix; pushing past 500 Hz starts audibly thinning vocals — sometimes exactly what you want for a telephone or radio voice effect. Everything responds live during preview, so finding the right cutoff is a ten-second sweep.
