Unlike a tick-tock metronome app, StudioWavePro’s Metronome Generator produces an actual audio file you can keep: a precisely timed click track at any tempo from 40 to 240 BPM, in 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 or 6/4 time, from 1 to 64 bars long. Each click is a clean, short sine burst; with "Accent first beat" on, the downbeat of every bar rings noticeably higher-pitched (1500 Hz vs 1000 Hz), so you always know where the bar starts.

Because the output is a normal WAV or MP3, it goes anywhere a metronome app can’t: under a recording session in your DAW, onto your phone for practice without an internet connection, into a video editor as a sync reference, or looped through a speaker at rehearsal. The panel shows the exact total length before you generate — for example 8 bars of 4/4 at 120 BPM comes out to precisely 16 seconds.

How to use

Click "Open Metronome Generator" below to launch the editor (any small audio file gets you into the workspace — it will be replaced by the click track).
Set the tempo with the slider (40–240 BPM) or a quick preset (60–160).
Choose the time signature: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 or 6/4.
Set how many bars you need (1–64) — the panel shows the resulting length in seconds.

Tips

For learning difficult passages, generate the click 20–30 BPM below target tempo and work up in steps — merging several tempos into one file with Audio Merger makes a ready-made practice ladder.
The accented downbeat is what keeps you from "turning the beat around" during long practice sessions — leave it on unless you specifically want an undifferentiated pulse.
Need the BPM of an existing song first? Run it through the Tempo Detector, then generate a click at the detected tempo.
WAV export is sample-accurate with zero drift — safe to loop indefinitely in a DAW. If you loop the MP3 export, be aware MP3 adds a few milliseconds of encoder padding at the start.

What tempo range is supported?: 40 to 240 BPM in 1-BPM steps, which covers everything from largo to extreme metal practice. Quick presets jump to 60, 80, 100, 120, 140 and 160.
How long can the click track be?: Up to 64 bars per generation. At 4/4 and 120 BPM that is just over two minutes. Need longer? Generate once and loop it in your player or DAW, or merge multiple copies with the Audio Merger.
What time signatures are available?: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 and 6/4. Combined with the accent-first-beat option, that covers march, waltz, common time, and compound feels.
What does "Accent first beat" do?: It makes beat 1 of every bar a higher-pitched click (1500 Hz instead of 1000 Hz), so you can hear where each bar begins. This is how hardware metronomes mark the downbeat.
Is the timing accurate enough for recording?: Yes — clicks are placed at exact sample positions calculated from the BPM, not scheduled in real time, so there is zero drift no matter the length. The WAV export is sample-accurate.
Can I make the click match a song I already have?: Run the song through the Tempo Detector to get its BPM, then generate a click at that tempo. For DJ-style tempo work, the Speed tool can also nudge the song itself to match a target BPM.
